How many of us wishes to spark a light from our wand or watching smokes vaporise as our brewery turn colour in the cauldron? It’s time to do a little magic. The Cauldron is the newest addition to London’s Harry Potter cult. The magic of chemical science and technology results on a magical pub featuring with smokey cauldron, recipe books, and bright-colored “potions” ready to brew. Upon coming in, you would immediately equipped with a house robe to wear (you choose) and a wand. A perfect transition from muggle to an entry level witch/ wizard. The bartender—or should I say, Potion Master—would lead you to mix your first potions. You will see a set of ingredients that needs to chop, grind, and mix up, before turning into a concoction that you can drink. Such an experience, indeed.

Komodo Boat Charter Sailing: Lower the Waste

Posted by Ron Brewer on

The Komodo National Park is vibrant with its raw wilderness, white and pink sandy beaches, auburn savannah, and of course, the prehistoric Komodo dragons. With such beauty, the Komodo is a true magnet to local and international tourists who come to enjoy the world-famous sailing trip around the luscious landscape. But just like any islands with tourism magnet, the KNP has to deal with great amount of waste, too. We all know that we produce more waste than we need, and this lifestyle could easily get loose on a holiday. Especially when you choose to sail with Komodo boat charter.

Komodo Boat Charter Sailing: Lower the Waste

You know, with all the pampering and luxurious comfort. If you are not careful, you can be another careless contributor to the waste pollution in Komodo. Such a great irony to our admiration to the rawness of Komodo’s nature in the first place.

If you love to indulge in Komodo’s perfect landscape and it’s rich marine life beneath, it’s time to practice green travelling on your sailing trip.

Buy Things with As Littlest Packaging As Possible

Oftentimes, being ‘stranded’ in the ocean drives us a little paranoia with what we want to bring onboard. Some of us tend to be over-prepared and end up buy things worth a month of supplies. Think about the packaging of every things you buy—the amount of package waste could really add up onboard. Be mindful and always try to minimise and minimise.

Do Not Arrange Party on Komodo Boat Charter Involving Balloons

One of the reasons why we book the whole Komodo boat charter is to launch a party. While it’s totally fun and acceptable, please avoid any use of balloons of all kinds. They could get easily snap because of the winds and the sun—and the plastic shreds go right to the ocean.

Don’t Buy Individually-Wrapped Snacks

Don’t Buy Individually-Wrapped Snacks

We like to think that individually-wrapped biscuits and candies are more practical to bring anywhere while in fact they are just a bulk of waste. If possible, make your own snacks or buy a bulk and store them in reusable containers.

Neither Buy or Use Travel Size Items—Buy Reusable Containers Instead

Luxury line of Komodo boat usually provides single use toiletries onboard. Don’t use it. By ignoring the complimentary toiletries, you are saving plastic toothbrushes, hair caps, and environmental-damaging soaps and shampoos. Also, buying brand new travel size toiletries is just adding more waste to the bin. Instead, opt for reusable travel-sized containers filled with free paraben, chlorine, SLS, triclosan, and other toxic chemicals ingredients.

Go Easy on Paper Towels

We love to get surrounded by convenience and using too much paper towel is one of those simple luxury. We use it to wipe our toilet businesses, clean our hands before and after meal, remove dirts on tables, or even wiping wet faces from the splashing salt water. Whereas, in many situations, a good old handkerchief could do the job. You couldn’t ask the Komodo boat charter to provide only biodegradable paper rolls, but you can choose to limit the personal usage.
